Congratulates Nancy Wood, 2009 Volunteer of the Year
Nancy Wood is a member who exemplifies what the Subsidium founders
desired for its membership--a heart for the Memphis Oral School for the
Deaf and a willingness to spend time in the community telling others
about it.
She has given tirelessly of her time and talent serving on the Subsidium
Board, the Carrousel of Shoppes Board and the MOSD board of Directors.
Over her 20 years of membership, Nancy has graciously open her home for
meetings and she attends many parties and special events for the
students of MOSD. She has proven to be a valuable asset to both
Subsidium and the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf.
Nancy has been instrumental in soliciting greatly needed financial
support for Subsidium and the Carrousel of Shoppes. For three
years, she coordinated our fundraiser, Sippin'Suds, at The Fresh Market
in Germantown. She has served as Carrousel Sponsor Chair for the
past three years.
With her dedication to step in where needed, she has been Subsidium
President, not once, but twice. Nancy has also served in numerous
Board and Carrousel positions.
Congratulations, Nancy, for this well-deserved honor.
